Special notice: Our next Level 2 Training will take place in Santa Fe, New Mexico. Click here for details.
Dramatically improve your database software skills in 3-day training on Microsoft Access, with a specific focus on how to practically meet the needs of your tribal program, including tracking data, generating reports and capturing statistics on the fly. This training and the related training materials are FREE to existing clients of Aventure Technology, Inc. By existing, we are referring to any tribal department that has purchased or upgraded our data/case management system as far back as five years. Contact us if you are unsure of your status.
WHERE: The Access Training Camp will occur in the conference room of Cal Lighting located at the Meadow Wood Crown Plaza at 1575 Delucchi Lane, Suite 111, Reno NV 89502. Participants need to arrange their own transportation and lodging. Click on the Resources link for helpful information or contact us for logistical support. Once inside the building, take the hallway on the left - suite 111 will be a few doors down on the right side of the hallway.
WHEN: The Access Training Camp will take place from 9/3/2025 through 9/5/2025. The registration deadline is 8/1/25; payment must be received by 8/15/25 to secure your confirmation. If you have last minute changes, we offer credit (not refunds) for future training classes. Space is limited to a 10 attendees.
COST: This training and the related training materials are free to existing clients of Aventure Technology, Inc. if you have purchased a data or case management system or upgrade in the last 5 years. For other participants that are not currently a client with Aventure, the training runs $1500 per person.
REQUIREMENTS: Bring a Windows 10 or Windows 11 laptop and mouse. Make sure your laptop has Microsoft Access installed (version 2016 or higher) and activated. If you need support for your specific CMS program during this training, make sure you have copied both the front-end and back-end files to your laptop. Remember to bring a mouse - it is not easy to navigate the Access interface with a touchpad.
The Access Training Camp provides a quick overview of the Case Management System used by your tribal department, with emphasis on the use of queries to generate specific data of interest to you. By the end of the training, your familiarity and ability to juggle data easily in Access will be significantly improved. The actual training outline is considered proprietary and will cover database design and use fundamentals. Class time will run from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm each day with ample time for lunch.
We now offer Level 2 Training (the Advanced Sessions). This 4-day training typically takes place in Santa Fe, New Mexico and is limited to 8 participants. Click here for details.
We have led multiple trainings in the past with consistently excellent feedback. This will not be a dry or boring training where a course instructor just reads from the teacher’s guide. This is a dynamic training designed to maximize your use of your existing database products or new databases you intend to develop on your own, given from someone who actually designs systems that are used on a daily basis all over the country. Your brain will likely be a bit mushy by the end of each day along with a feeling of tremendous satisfaction.
We are looking forward to seeing you!
